Professional Portrait, Baby & Family Photographer in London

Hello. I’m Claire. Or Ballard. Which is the name most of my friends call me by.

I’ve always loved photography. When I was younger I never felt comfortable in front of the camera, so being behind it was an easy escape to having my photo taken! But that’s helped me as a professional photographer, especially working with clients who might be nervous having their photo taken. Truth be told, I’m still not that keen being in front of the camera so I can absolutely relate to everyone I photograph!

The older I get, the more photography means to me. It’s a way of cementing and sharing precious memories, which has become increasingly more important the more my memory fades.

I love telling stories. I specialise in natural storytelling, creating beautiful images that capture special moments in time. Whether it’s the look of love between newly married soulmates, or the twinkle in the eyes of a curious four-year-old. One of my greatest pleasures is taking pictures that people absolutely love and cherish forever. And with over 15 years’ experience I will not only ensure you have a great experience on the day but will also have images that you will treasure for years to come.

I am based in London but I’m always happy to travel and I have been fortunate enough to photograph weddings and portraits in some of the most stunning locations around the world.

When I'm not out and about with my camera I'll either be spending time with my family and friends, indulging in my new found love of gardening, upholstering old furniture, exploring London or going on a long walk with Poppy, my trusted side-kick!
