As a newborn photographer in London, my aim is to gently capture those first precious moments in a way that feels natural, calm and authentic. I photograph newborn photography sessions across London, capturing natural moments between babies and their families during those early weeks of life.

A calm and relaxed newborn photoshoot

Life with a newborn can feel like a whirlwind, which is why my newborn sessions are designed to be as relaxed and stress-free as possible.

Most sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, allowing you and your baby to stay in a familiar and calm environment without the pressure of getting everyone ready and out of the house.

Your home is also one of the most meaningful places for your family, which makes it a beautiful backdrop for capturing these early memories.

My style of newborn photography is natural and baby-led. You won’t find babies posed in baskets, flowerpots or complicated setups. Instead, I photograph your baby just as they are — safe, comfortable and surrounded by the people who love them most.

With more than 15 years of experience photographing families and newborns, I know how to create calm, natural photographs while ensuring your baby is always safe and comfortable.

Many parents worry that they won’t know what to do during the photoshoot, but you don’t need to worry about that at all.

It’s my job to guide you gently throughout the session. I’ll help you find the best light, the most flattering angles and natural ways to hold and interact with your baby so the photographs feel relaxed and genuine. During the session, we’ll usually capture a mixture of:

• beautiful natural photographs of your baby
• quiet moments between parent and child
• family photographs with siblings
• small details such as hands, feet and expressions

These images are then carefully edited and professionally retouched, before many families choose to print, frame or include them in albums that preserve these early memories.

It’s also completely up to you how much you would like to be in the photographs. Many new mums initially feel unsure about being photographed so soon after giving birth, which is completely understandable. There is absolutely no pressure — but I do gently encourage parents to be in a few images if they feel comfortable, as these often become some of the most treasured photographs over time.

Years from now, your child will love seeing those early moments with you — the way you held them, comforted them and looked at them in those very first days.

When should newborn photos be taken?

Many newborn photographers recommend scheduling a photoshoot within the first two weeks after birth, as babies tend to be sleepier and easier to place into posed positions. My approach to newborn photography is a little different.

Because my style is natural and baby-led, it doesn’t matter if your baby is a few days old, a few weeks old, or a few months old. We can still create beautiful photographs that capture this special stage.

In fact, many of the mums who book me say that the first couple of weeks after birth feel like a complete whirlwind. Between sleepless nights, feeding schedules and adjusting to life with a new baby, they often don’t feel ready to be in front of the camera just yet.

That’s absolutely fine. We simply schedule the session at a time that feels comfortable for you and your family.

That said, there is something very special about those early days — tiny fingers, little toes and all the delicate details that change so quickly as babies grow during the first few months.

Whenever your session takes place, the aim is always the same: to capture natural, relaxed photographs of this fleeting stage of family life.

Many families also return later for a family photography session in London as their baby grows and their family story continues to unfold.

  • My newborn sessions all take place in the comfort of your own home. This allows you to stay in a relaxed and familiar environment and means I can capture photographs in a space that is meaningful to your family.

  • Newborn photography session fees start from £195, with packages starting from £395.

    There are a range of options available depending on how you would like to enjoy your photographs.

  • Once you book your session I will send you a detailed guide with tips on what photographs well and how to coordinate clothing.

    We’ll also have a call before the session to go through everything, so you feel completely prepared.

  • Newborn sessions are always baby-led, which means we work around feeding, changing and settling your baby.

    Most sessions last 60–90 minutes, although we allow plenty of time so the experience never feels rushed.

    Newborn sessions are designed to move at your baby’s pace. If your baby needs feeding, changing or comforting, we simply pause and continue once everyone is settled.
