I love capturing big milestones and special celebrations. Birthdays, anniversaries, first steps and first days at school. These are all such important moments. But I also think it’s really important to capture the precious everyday moments that can so easily pass us by. Babies change so quickly. Teeny-tiny little fingers soon become crayon-wielding hands. Toddlers grow up in the blink of an eye and life is so busy it's easy for those moments to pass by only to realise that your children are turning into mini adults. And so often parents don’t even get to be in the photos because you’re the ones always taking them. My passion is capturing these moments so you can hold onto these precious memories for years to come. And your children can cherish them even longer.

What to expect from your family photoshoot

I want to capture the essence of your family and so your photoshoot will be tailored to you. And just as every family is unique, so too is every photoshoot. But whether it’s an outdoor photoshoot in your favourite park, an in-home session in the place most meaningful to you, or capturing your family in my studio in East Dulwich, I can guarantee it will be fun, relaxed and informal with no awkward posing whatsoever!

I’ll spend some time at the beginning of our session getting to know everyone, especially if you have little ones. If I'm shooting in your home, I'll have a quick look to see which rooms are best for lighting. Then if we're inside or outside, it's time to have fun! I will direct you and walk you through absolutely everything so you don’t need to worry about a thing. My sessions are always child-led, which means we’ll go at the pace of your children. If they need to run around and exert some energy, we’ll run and jump around. If they need a breather, we’ll take a break. If they need to have some quiet time, we’ll do that.

I often work with SEN children and people who are reluctant to be in front of the camera and I use my extensive knowledge and experience to put even the most camera-shy person at ease. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a professional model! It is my job to know the best light and most flattering angles to photograph you and your family at your best. I will prompt, direct and encourage you to interact in a very natural way so you can enjoy yourself and know that I will tell your story and capture beautiful images that are authentic, natural and timeless.
