It’s such a privilege to be able to capture those very early days of a new life. And I absolutely love newborn baby photoshoots. There is nothing more miraculous than a newborn baby.

The phrase “moments are fleeting” takes on a whole new meaning, as you begin to understand just how quickly time passes with your precious little one. Babies change and grow so quickly, especially in the early days of their life. My passion is capturing every single little detail about this special time so you can cherish them for years to come. And your children can cherish them even longer.

What to expect from your Newborn & Baby photoshoot

Your whole world has just changed, so I would like to make sure this is as seamless and relaxing for you as possible. This is one of the main reasons your newborn session will take place in the comfort of your own home. It's also one of the most important places in the world for you and your family so makes the perfect backdrop to capturing these really special memories. I’ve been told many times by parents that they appreciate this as the days following a birth can be a whirlwind of activity and emotions.

Babies are perfect just as they are and that’s one of the reasons I don't believe in props, sticking them in flower pots or posing them in unnatural positions! Rather I will capture images that are authentic, natural and timeless.

I suggest doing a mixture of natural posed baby shots together with some family shots. I prefer to use natural light when photographing babies so will just need some space in a room with good natural lighting and I will bring everything needed for the session.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a professional model! It is my job to know the best light and most flattering angles to photograph you and your family at your best. I will prompt, direct and encourage you to interact in a very natural way so you can enjoy yourself and know that I will tell your story and capture beautiful images that are authentic, natural and timeless.

I’m sure you have loads of questions about your family photoshoot. Below are some of the most frequent ones I get asked, just click on the question to see the answer. If you have any other questions, do contact me and I’ll happily answer anything that’s not covered here.

  • I usually do newborn photoshoots in the comfort of your own home. Not only does this mean you don't have to get everyone up and out of the house, but it also means I capture shots in the location that is the most meaningful to you.

  • My session fees start from £195 and my packages start from £395. I have options to suit most budgets and you can see more about my pricing here.

  • This is one of the most asked questions I get and don't worry I will send you a comprehensive guide when you book your session that will give you advice on what to wear. And we'll have a call ahead of the session and will cover a number of things including clothing choices, so you'll be fully prepared.

  • Every session is unique but they usually last between 60-90 minutes. All my shoots are baby-led so we go at the pace of your little one(s).
